Ray-Ban Meta Optical Frames

All around the world, people have now experienced the benefits of using AI glasses. Today, we are launching an optical forward design of Ray-Ban Meta glasses that are designed to support nearly every prescription. Two new Ray-Ban Meta optical designs are the most comfortable ever made, with a focus on all-day wear, whether you need a prescription or not. Features such as overextension (hinges), interchangeable nose pads, and optician adjustable temples provide additional comfort and ability to adjust the fit of the new Ray-Ban Meta styles for each person’s face, for a perfect fit.

The New Ray-Ban Meta will come in two frame styles – a rectangular (rather than round) ‘Blayzer Optics’ and a slightly more rounded (but still oval) ‘Scriber Optics’, in either standard or large sizes. Both frame will come in a lightweight and slender design. Frame colors will include: matte black, crystal black and crystal dark olive, as well as seasonal shades (such as, for example, crystal matte ice gray and crystal stone beige). All Ray-Ban Meta eyewear will come with a new (and larger) dark brown velvet-wrapped carrying case for charging purposes.

Two Distinct Ray-Ban Meta Styles: Scriber vs Blayzer

Ray-Ban has just launched their first smart glasses specifically designed for prescription wearers: the Ray-Ban Meta Scriber optics and Blayzer optics. These are a continuation of Meta’s award-winning series of smart glasses, but they are intentionally built from scratch for correcting vision with an everyday use in mind.  The main distinction between these two products is that the Blayzer is a traditional optical frame with smart technologies embedded into it, while the Scriber is a completely new optical frame with rounded contours and modern design elements.

Blayzer: Rugged & Classic

The Blayzer features a defined rectangular shape and embodies strength and definition. This frame comes in both a standard and large scale and is designed to project a classic, sophisticated appearance. The Blayzer is crafted to be an ideal option for everyday wear and business casual. Users will appreciate the Blayzer’s classic, traditional frame, which represents confidence.

Scriber: Soft & Modern

The Scriber features a soft and clean shape, with rounded edges and contemporary design qualities. The Scriber is the lightest frame of the two, featuring a standard scale. The clean, slick profile of the Scriber lends itself well to both casual and fashionable wear. The Scriber will appeal to users looking for a lightweight designer style that they can wear anywhere.

Built for Prescription Lenses

The new Ray-Ban Meta styles are one of the largest improvements in the Ray-Ban collection. Support for almost all prescriptions are available with the Ray-Ban Meta. This includes:

  • Myopia (Nearsighted)
  • Hyperopia (Farsighted)
  • Astigmatism

This means that for many people, you’re now going to be able to replace your regular glasses altogether. Because of this, your standard direct orders will allow you the ability to use your prescription within a ±6 range. However, with a more complicated prescription, you may still have to see an optician.

Ray-Ban Meta Optical Frames Features

The new Ray-Ban Meta isn’t just an optical frame, it is an AI wearable. Aside from prescription lenses, it also has many of the core features that will be talked about in this section, including:

  • Built in camera for taking pictures and videos
  • Open ear speakers for listening to music while making phone calls
  • Voice controlled functionality via Meta AI
  • Messaging and summary functionality (hands free)

In addition, there have been a number of updates that have been released that will help with day-to-day living. They include the following:

  • Nutrition tracking via AI
  • Navigation in real time
  • Viewing messages on platforms such as WhatsApp

All features have been designed to work without the need to take your phone out of your pocket.

Style Meets Technology

Ray-Ban maintains the iconic design DNA throughout their product lines. The two new frames, Scriber and Blayzer, come in a variety of colors including:

  • Matte Black
  • Transparent Tones
  • Seasonal colors (e.g. Olive, Ice Grey)

This is important because smart glasses need to look normal when you wear them. These frames do a great job of blending with everyday fashion. There is nothing futuristic about them. They will not compromise your style. Price starts at $499, and pre-orders are available on Ray-Ban official website. Official launch date is April 14, 2026, and the total cost can exceed $1,000, including prescription lens and add-on adjustments.
